Following are Frequently Asked Questions from Part Studio customers:

How often do your backup services run?
Accounts are backed up daily, weekly and monthly. Whilst we have not had a problem with any of our backup systems in the past, it is worth noting that no guarantees are made of any kind, either expressed or implied, as to the integrity of these backups. Backups are made for server restoration purposes only. It is the client's responsibility to maintain local copies of their web content any information. If loss of data occurs due to an error on our behalf, we will attempt to recover the date for no charge to the client. If data loss occurs due to negligence of client in securing their account or by an action of the client, we will attempt to recover the data from the most recent archive for a small administration fee.

What if I outgrow your largest web hosting plan?
If you outgrow the largest web hosting account, then you will need to consider upgrading to a VPS or dedicated server, depending on your requirements. More information about the services we provide can be found here.

Do you offer shared SSL?
Yes, every web hosting account has shared SSL (secure certificate) included free of charge, enabling you to conduct secure transactions on your web site. Dedicated SSL certificates (custom certificates for your domain name) are also available for an annual fee.

Can I run CGI scripts?
We don't support CGI on our Windows 2003 servers. But you can run CGI on our Linux servers.

Will my domain work without the www?
No, You need to have web hosting plan in order to use your mailbox and WWW.

Can I build my site in any language?
Yes you may have your website in any language, however we may from time to time request that you provide us with an English summary of what the site says to ensure that it is in compliance with our policies.

Do you offer web design?
Yes, you can see Web Design in our services.

Do you provide webmail?
Yes, webmail is provided with every hosting account, ensuring that wherever you are you are able to check your emails providing you have a connection to the Internet.

Do you allow secure shell (SSH) access?
Yes! We understand that many of you require SSH access to be able to perform a number of tasks, or simply prefer to use the shell environment to do things more easily. SSH is a very powerful tool, however, and in the wrong hands it can easily be abused. For this reason we require that for every account on which shell is enabled, you fax or email us an official photographic identification of the person who will be using the account. This person will then be held responsible should the shell privileges be abused in any way. Please see our SSH Policy for more information.

Can I get root access?
No, root access is not available on any of our shared hosting or reseller plans. If you require root access with your hosting, we would recommend looking at our VPS or dedicated hosting plans, which can be found here.

What Perl Modules are installed?
No Perl Modules are installed.

I'm ready to order! How long does it take to set up a web hosting account?
We manually verify every order to prevent fraud. Accounts are therefore normally set up within a few hours of receiving the order, although we guarantee you will wait no more than 24 hours.
